Consulting Versus Operations Management

Manaar’s background
We began in 2010 undertaking traditional consulting services. This involved providing bespoke studies and providing commercial advisory for government and private enterprises in the oil & gas sectors of the MENA region.
Limitations of traditional consulting
It quickly became evident that the main challenge our clients faced was not only in accessing the right type of knowledge, but also in how to implement their strategies on the ground.

Over the next few years, Manaar developed an extensive track record and invested heavily in acquiring resources to play an active role in supporting the implementation and management of energy operations on the ground. This included investments in acquiring management services, namely skills, technical knowledge and operating facilities (office facilities, broader access to sources of capital and materials commonly used to support energy operations).
